Review by Marcos A Ronderos R for Bell Powersports Zephyr Stars Large Full-Face Motorcycle Helmet
Rating:
I bought this helmet about 2 months ago, i live in Caracas, Venezuela so the weather is hot, hotter or cloudy but never under 23ยบ C and this helmet is just perfect for this kind of weather, the front vent gives you a great flow of air even at low speed you can feel the air around your mouth and nose, the upper vents are not so obvious, you can feel the air at 50 mph depending of your riding position (maybe in a sport bike is better, I ride a standard bike and it`s not so obvious to me) besides that i would say it`s just perfect. The first day i thought it was too small but 2 weeks later the paths were not so tight and still now fits like a glove, i guess it’s great for cold weather too, just close the vents and let the air coming from behind refresh your face. In rainy days you can ride with vents open, mine didn’t leak a single drop in a heavy rain.
I would advise to everybody interested in buying a helmet check the shape of their head, this one is good for long/oval heads. I would say this is probably the best buy if you have a low budget. As other reviewer said it’s not so good if you have to wear glasses but that’s not my case so i can say it’s great.

Review by S. Littlefield for Bell Powersports Zephyr Stars Large Full-Face Motorcycle Helmet
Rating:
The old saying about helmets is “if you have a $50 head, buy a $50 helmet.” While that is generally true of the helmets sold in the discount stores, it is not true of Bell helmets. Bell has built their reputation on making and selling well-constructed, high feature helmets that are the equal of much higher priced brain buckets. This helmet has excellent padding, vents that actually get fresh air to the inside of the helmet and painted-on and clear-coated graphics that will hold up a lot longer than the decals used on the bargain basement variety. Additionally, Bell offers replacement parts like new clear or tinted shields and new linings and padding so that you can upgrade or extend the life of your purchase. Try finding a replacement for a scratched shield on the helmet you bought from WalMart.

I like the helmet for its snug fit. It seems to be aerodynamic.
However, there is a problem with the shield getting foggy
at stops or at slow speeds. I have to open the shield slightly
to prevent the fogging. Opening the breather holes
does not seem to mitigate the problem. Apparently the
breather holes are too small, or the inside volume is too small.
I do not know what the deal is but I do not have the fogging problem
with my other two helmets.
I am not sure I would recommend this helmet because of the fogging issue.

This was such a great buy I almost did not order it – beacause all I could think of was “no way am I buying a REAL Bell helmet for under $50!” But I did – I could not be more pleased! It is a VERY good looking helmet and it has a good snug fit – I bought this for my nephew and he is beyond happy! And within a few days it has already passed the first crash test. This is probably the best deal you could find for a good name brand (very good name brand) helmet. THANK YOU!!

The vendor has a terrible shipping policy, but Amazon won’t let reviewers discuss it. Hint: if you serve in the US military or foreign service, they won’t let you buy this product.
