Review by Alex Eberlein for Fuel Gloss Black X-Large Triple Vented Modular Full Face Helmet
Rating:
This helmet fits my head properly, and it all works correctly. I’ve been trying on helmets at all my local motorsports dealerships so I knew what size to ultimately buy. All of the ones I tried on looked pretty decent and fit well, without being too large on the outside. Wearing this helmet feels a bit strange, the padding is all kinda shifted up in the helmet so it kinda feels short, but it’s not, its supposed to be like that. After determining that it fit correctly, I walked around and looked in a mirror. This thing is HUGE! I thought it felt pretty big when I pulled it out of the box, but I didn’t realize it was the width of my shoulders! I’m a pretty big guy too!
I guess it’s alright for the price, but beware smaller people, this helmet is going to dwarf you!
I can’t comment on how well it works in a crash, because I haven’t crashed, and I never plan to… but I knocked it a star for being gigantic, otherwise, its a pretty decent helmet with a few neat features for the price.

The first thing I noticed about this helmet was its cheap construction. The plastic shell feels flimsy and plastic trim pieces feel like they could very easily be ripped off. The construction is not solid enough to inspire much confidence in safety. Even for just $80, I feel like I’ve been ripped off.

I ordered this helmet for its design and the fact it is DOT approved for California highways. Great for putt-ing around town, but also does well at highway speeds. Get that classic look and a great value. Has d-rings for fastening, but a trip to the local motorcycle shop I install quick release clips.

After a return of a previously ordered helmet (smaller size), this helmet fit very well. The helmet, it seems, runs a size smaller. It is an impressive looking helmet with quality throughout. I would gladly recommend it and rate 5 stars!

As if riding a 1947 Vespa in olive-drab green weren’t enough, I also wear this helmet. My roommate was worried I’d get beaten up; I thought people would be amused. I was right.
It’s a good-looking helmet and very well-made. It’s also fairly light weight considering how substantial it is. A word of warning, however — it is much thicker than what you might expect — think Darth Vader-sized as opposed to trim barely-bigger-than-your-head like you see in the movies.
I see that someone hasn’t received what they ordered from Jafrum, and I feel bad for them. I received it faster than I expected, actually, ready to go the moment it came out of the box.

Please do not waste your money on this helmet, it sits high on your head and looks huge…if you really want a german motorcycle helmet, you have to get a novelty one(non-dot)….Jafrum was great about getting the helmet out to me way before the estimated date, the helmet is the problem, just too bulky…
