Review by Martin Gruening for Fuel Silver Medium Triple Vented Modular Full Face Helmet
Rating:
I was hesitant to buy a DOT only helmet.
I don’t know any modulars that are snell rated.
I usually buy Arai helmets. My motto (was):
Don’t buy a 10 cent helmet for your $100 head!
Still think that, but lack of money has me buying differently.
That all said, I needed a helmet and wanted a modular
style for easier use of communicators and Ipods.
I bought this and am very pleased. The modular part
works pretty well. Thank goodness! If I bought a non modular, the chinbar
would hit my forehead every time I remove the helmet.
The fit was perfect otherwise, tight, but not crushing.
The padding is very good and removable! And comfortable too.
This a warmer weather helmet. The venting is excellent. But you can’t
close all vents. Your chin can get cold on chilly nights/days.
There is plenty of room for Ipod buds or for helmet speakers with out
rubbing on my ears. With the modular feature, I can adjust the ear buds
easily. The visor comes off and goes on fairly easly, no tools.
We will see how scratch resistant the visor is. so far, OK.
All in all, good fit and finish for $81.00.
I will probably buy another Arai went funds dictate, but this is a
good option for now. when that happens, this will be a excellent
backup helmet.

Review by P. E. Chaintreuil for Fuel Silver Medium Triple Vented Modular Full Face Helmet
Rating:
This helmet seems quite adequate. It seems well generally well made and — although I haven’t tried smashing into anything to test it — like it will do its job in a crash.
I’m a generally pessimistic, negative person, so keep that in mind while I mention the two things I’m not thrilled with about this helmet:
1.) The button for opening the full-face chin-bar and shield doesn’t have the smoothest of mechanisms. I have to apply a good amount of force to get it to release. Now that could be considered a good thing, but something about how the button mechanism slides feels like I’m forcing it.
2.) I don’t find that the top vent does anything. I haven’t been going faster than about 45 mph since I got this, so I guess I should caveat this complaint with that fact, but I figured I’d mention it. The front vent (by your mouth) does a little, but not all that much. I also haven’t been out in weather hotter than about 85 F.
Both of these complaints are fairly minor, and I’d certainly buy this helmet again for this price rather than spend thirty bucks more on a helmet that didn’t have those issues.
Oh, and mine came with a light cloth storage bag even though I don’t see that listed anywhere! Free bonus, I guess!
NOTE: There’s a sizing chart under the “Product Details” section. Use it instead of guessing how big your head is or what your previous helmet size was. Also keep in mind that new helmets are supposed to be a little on the tight size.

Rating:
I was nervous buying a helmet online without getting to try it on first but let me tell you that this is a very comfortable functional helmet. The vents work great so I am never seeing fog and the module face lift front is useful, makes it so you can talk, take a drink or whatever without undoing the neck straps and taking the helmet off. This has a very sporty look and I will be buying another soon for a passenger helmet. Great price for what you get!

Review by singh2004 for Fuel Silver Medium Triple Vented Modular Full Face Helmet
Rating:
I bought this from Amazon about 2 months back as my second helmet because I wanted a full face, but one which can be opened easily for putting on and removing glasses. Here are pros and cons in my opinion:
PROS:
- Modular design works for me and provides some flexibility for communication devices and ease of use when wearing and removing glasses
- Lot of padding inside for comfort and snug fit
- Vented design allows for air circulation with minimal noise
- Straps are reasonable quality for a standard helmet
- Comes with a cloth bag for storage
CONS:
- The red lever to slide open the front module (not just the visor) upwards is clunky and does not operate smoothly
- The visor is made of cheap plastic and can be easily scratched
- When wearing sunglasses, the visor produces different colored hues which could get distracting
- The helmet feels heavy, especially on the front side (I have used other full face helmets in similar price range which are lighter)
