i need to know how to set the clock on a 2001 honda superhawk motorcycle?

Question by Paula J: i need to know how to set the clock on a 2001 honda superhawk motorcycle?
I do not have the owners manual, and can only seem to figure out how to set it to military time. I would rather not use military time, I have to think too hard :p
And as for those that would ask what the point of having a clock on the motorcycle…you have one in your car right???? Someone that sees no use in a clock on a motorcycle, obviously is just a rider to be cool. Some people actually ride a motorcycle more than just every once in a while when only the weather is perfect, and all their buddies decide to ride for an afternoon. Some people actually ride on a regular basis. It is a LOT better on gas mileage than cars.

You have a clock on your motorcycle??? What the hell is the point of that??
Get real -
I’ve seen clocks in cars go from 24 hr to 12 hr if you hold down both the Hr and Min button at the same time. No Idea if this applies to your bike, but it might.
Clock on a motorcycle… what is the world coming to…
Cheers!

Does anyone know how to restore/reburbish Honda Motorcycle speedometer tachometer gauges?

Question by newpoint60618: Does anyone know how to restore/reburbish Honda Motorcycle speedometer tachometer gauges?
I have a 1973 Honda CB350, and the face of the gauges are starting to fade. Does anyone know how hard it would be to take them apart and rebuild them? Or, better yet, know of a business I could send them to to replace the faces and the glass?

For instructions on how to dissassemble your guages, check out http:kzrider.com/content/view39/11/ I know they show Kaw guages, but the operation is exactly the same.
The other idea is to replace the guages altogether. I just installed a speedo and tach I got from JC Whitney’s online catalogue. They’re a bit smaller than the stock guages, but hook right up, are illuminated, and work great! Oh yea, they’re only like 39.95 US$ each.
E-mail me @yahoo.com if you need a pic of them installed.

Does anyone know of the Korean motorcycle company named KIA Honda and what became of it?

Question by Don S: Does anyone know of the Korean motorcycle company named KIA Honda and what became of it?
I lived in Korea both as an Army radio/TV journalist in 1974-75. Moved back in 76 as a civilian and taught English there until a Civil War forced me back home at the end of 1980. I am writing a book on this fascinating story as told from the saddle of a KIA Honda motorcycle. I’d like to have some info as to what became of this one-time sole manufacturer of bikes in Korea. Not even KIA seems to know.

KIA and Honda does not have any relationship. Korean and Chinese been know to copy designs and make ‘knock off’ bikes from Honda. I’m pretty sure Soichiro Honda doesn’ t want anything to do with KIA being Korea looking back in history with Wars.
