Probably not much.
Most 80′s jap bikes won’t see past $ 1500 To 2000, unless it’s modified or rare or very customized to a specific crowd.
Your average 80′s jap bike will probably cost $ 300-1000 in decent running shape.
These bikes really don’t have high value since they were mass produced and there’s tons of them still floating around. Sometimes parts can be a problem but this is Model Specific!
There’s tons of them that it’s still easy to get parts for.
But these bikes are usually for a beginner, although heavy in weight.
And they are also for vintage collectors or bike ethusiasts( like myself)
They are cheap, very reliable and easy to work on.
They just don’t make em like that anymore!
Plus their usually fast, and take drops better than modern bikes, and you won’t
be dumping $ 1500 on body panels and paint if you take a tiny fall.
Vintage bikes get more looks on the highways and parking lots as well.
There’s tons of them available to buy, but you don’t see many of them on the roads for some reason!

How do you get the seat off to get to the battery?
Best answer:
Answer by guardrailjim
-Remove the 2 bolts holding the seat strap.
-Remove the bolt behind the seat, attaching it to the fender.
-Lightly lift the piece of metal you just removed the bolt from and hold it up (to prevent scratching the fender when removing the seat).
-Hit the seat, on the hump, to push the seat backwards.

There is a lock tab that must be bent out of one of the grooves of the nut, before it can be removed.
Replace the lock tab – it should only be used once.

I’m sure any HONDA bike dealer would buy it. WHy not?
However you would take a huge value loss.
Get some confidence and list it for sale on craigslist.com in you city. It is super easy but by all means post photos of your bike. With the billions of people in CA you will no doubt find a buyer and soon. Try it….it is free on craigslist.com
Go to craigslist.com
Choose Californina from the list on the right side.
Choose your city from the Californina city list.
In the upper left corner choose POST TO CLASSIFIEDS
Choose FOR SALE/WANTED
Choose MOTORCYCLES/SCOOTERS
In the add header state 2006 HONDA 750 SHADOW AERO
THen in the description give a clear description and telephone number if you like.
Follow the instructions carefully. Craigslist will send you an email that you must open and click POST to get it to go on the board. GOOD LUCK.

Question by klaris lagwador: Why do my CDI get busted always on my Honda CM400T motorcycle?
My original CDI get busted last year 2002, replaced with original (2004) and get busted again now only after four years (2008). My bike is only on standby most of those years as I was always working abroad and only warmed up every time I get on vacation.

Only things that come to mind are poor grounds and voltage spikes. That’s a rare problem for Honda models. This problem is very difficult to isolate/diagnose.

Why won’t my Honda VTX1300S motorcycle start?
Jun 30th
Question by Steven E: Why won’t my Honda VTX1300S motorcycle start?
The problem usually happens right after I fill her up with gas. I get the motorcycle home just fine but the next day it won’t start. I fill the tank to the brim, could this be causing my emmission tank filled with charcoal to get wet with overflow gas and clog up? I also notice at high speeds running at idle I get alot of backfire. Does this sound like a bad emmissions system to you?

sounds like spark plug motorcycles go through plugs faster then cars do and need to be changed every couple of months
