Question by Radman: Why has my 2004 Honda motorcycle water pump started leaking with only 11K miles on it?
I have a 2004 Honda 919 and the water pump is now leaking thru the weep hole. The only thing I did wrong with this bike is to barely ride it (less than 500 miles a year) although I start it up frequently. Also, I used a Prestone (but silicate-free) coolant instead of the Hondaline coolant when I changed it last year.

Storing any vehicle for extended periods of time is very hard on them.It is only a little rubber seal that has gone bad and that is normal for being used as little as yours has.

Can I take the exhaust prechamber off my 1978 Honda motorcycle?

I have a 1978 Honda cb400TII Hawk II and it has this prechamber on it but they don’t make the stock exhaust for the bike anymore. Is this prechamber a necessity? I have seen a 2 into 1 exhaust system for this bike which would require the removal of this chamber, but I am unsure if removing it will mess up back pressure for the bike.

You dont need it, it is more for sound than anything.
You may have to make some slight adjustments to the carburetor settings but probably not on a bike that old.

I am looking to buy a bike soon, and am looking at the Yamaha YZF-R6s and the Honda CBR 600rr. Does anyone know of any good dealerships that sell good used bikes, aftermarket shops that I could get a Yoshimura TRC carbon slip on exhaust, and shops that sell riding gear that are in the san fernando valley preferrably in the woodland hills area?
